I love this recipe. It’s a perfect blend of salty, sweet and spicy.
2 Tablespoons olive oil
2 Tablespoons butter
5 cups frozen hash browns (I use the patties and it comes out just as well)
1 tsp ground thyme
6 oz hot breakfast sausage
1 medium apple, cored and sliced
1. Melt butter in a skillet and brown sausage with apple over medium heat about 10 minutes until apples are tender. Mix in thyme. Set aside.
2. Add olive oil to skillet and cook hash browns until crispy, about 8 minutes.
3. Put hash browns on plate and top with sausage apple mixture on top.
